Stem Cell Stocks 6/07/09: The Week That Was

Mark this week's post as the start of a possible stem cell stock turnaround. For the first time since January, every larger cap stem cell stock that we follow finished the week in positive territory. The sector has not done much in last three months with the exception of moves the last month by Geron and Cytori Therapeutics. There has been no notable catalyst that has caused this shift in activity. As a result, a follow up week will be big in determining if the stem cell stocks have new life.

- ThermoGenesis Corp (KOOL) = Up 38% for the week; Volume jumped significantly in KOOL during later part of the week. Either news is coming or institutions have begun to buy

Worst Stem Cell Stock Performer(s) for Last Week:

-Stem Cell Therapy Intl (SCII.OB) = Down -18; This stock has been in free fall from $0.12/share since April. Based on the chart, I wouldn't consider buying this until it hits $0.02 a share
